Garters Galore! 5 tutorials on DIY

A follow up to the last DIY garter tutorial I found.  I still find it ridiculous how much satin and elastic can cost.  20$?!?! Then of course there are the dollar store ones...i wore one as a prop once for a bachelorette party.  Needless to say, it didnt even last 20 minutes before it fell apart.  Even 8$ ones just look like chimsy...Besides the cost, they must expect every bride to have the same size leg.  Have you ever noticed that some can only stretch so far?  We're all made different.  I've been looking all over and it is sooo cool to see so many different ways to do it to your size, style, taste, and satisfaction though!  I've gathered up a list and the links for the tutorial are linked under each photo.

Coloring crinolines...

Dying your crinoline can give your dress that extra edge your looking for if your someone who especially likes to accessorize!  Blue crinolines have been used to go with the saying "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue".  So if your still sticking strictly to tradition, you can work a blue crinoline on your list.  Upon looking for a good place on "how to" I ran across "The Brass Paperclip Project" and she has a few different options versus one output...link below, stop by and check it out!

Pearl Tulle!

Stunning!!!  The pearl look is so elegant and gorgeous!  This is a pretty cheap option when it comes to decorating.  In her comments she explains that velcro can be used to hold it to the table.  To cut costs, instead of buying bracelets to go around the tulle...you can get "spool of pearls" online at www.orientaltrading.com 25 feet for only $3.25 and if you have dealt with tulle, you know that it is amazingly cheap yet gives you the dreamy wedding look!  She also has other pictures with blue tulle.  The link is posted below.
